Two Dots Coming Soon Previews

Each new content release of the whimsical, addictive mobile game Two Dots features end of game “teaser” typography (with simple animations) that hints at new artwork for the next update’s unique world, and content-to-come. I designed and animated these vignettes to offer a tantalizing preview of the next update.

Two Dots World Maps

New updates of Two Dots feature vivid, fantastical worlds, new levels and clever game mechanics. Working with an external artist, I was responsible for the animation and art direction of several saga map worlds for the game. In addition to art directing each piece, I helped and breathe life into jungles, abstract machines, secret laboratories, futuristic cities and peaceful landscapes, taking them from Photoshop and animating and optimizing the artwork in Unity.

Two Dots is a puzzle game inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama, minimalist art and playful game mechanics. Players connect dots and explore new worlds while enjoying tricky mechanics and a soothing soundtrack.

Loop de Loop Animation Festival

Loop de Loop is a bimonthly, global animation challenge that invites animators to create work around a particular theme.

These are a series of animated loops/gifs I have created over the years. Even though I sometimes include a literal representation of the theme in the work, I challenge myself to interpret the theme in a slightly different way. At the end of the animation challenge, submitted works are curated and presented at screenings around the world. Previous screenings have taken place in Berlin, Tel Aviv, New York, Melbourne and Sydney.

School of Motion Animated Holiday Card

The School of Motion Holiday Card is an annual, collaborative project assembled from short animations created by School of Motion alumni. Animations can be created in any media but are assigned a color palette, time constraint and given a specific theme. These were my contributions for themes such as “Light” and “Holiday Traditions.”

The Moon Snatcher

The Moon Snatcher was an interactive, animated storybook app that I developed, animated and designed. I created the project over the course of a year, primarily in a Melbourne-based videogame coworking space called The Arcade as part of a design residency. The story follows a young girl who must face her fears of the dark when she goes in search of the missing moon. It was originally published for iPad.

The Grimstones: An Interactive Storybook

This app was developed as an interactive adaptation of a gothic, fantastical print book series, The Grimstones. The project won a $50k grant from Screen Australia to develop a prototype; we shipped a mobile storybook app complete with unique animations and an interactive letter writing component from the main character.
